Thanks to everyone who came out to hear Jacqueline Saper talk about her experiences growing up and living in Iran during the rule of the Shah (Mohammad Reza Pahlavi), the revolution, and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was quite a fascinating talk and from the buzz afterward, it was clear that the audience was captivated by Ms. Saper’s story and her insights concerning the radical changes that Iran underwent in a very short period of time, particularly those affecting women and girls. Saper discussed the momentous changes she and her family underwent and offered many insights into the small community of Jewish Iranians. It was a great, profound, and global kick off to women’s history month! #evanston #womenshistorymonth
