To our members, friends, and visitors:
The Board of the Evanston History Center has the health and safety of our visitors and staff as our primary concern.
Beginning Monday, March 16, we will suspend tours, access to the research room, and programs until further notice. The situation may change, so please check our website. Like many other museums in the Chicago area, we are monitoring public health announcements and will adjust our plans accordingly.
Our upcoming Under the Buffalo lecture, “Evanston Women and the Fight for the Vote, with Lori Osborne, which had been scheduled for March 26th, will be postponed. We plan to reschedule and will widely publicize the new date. We encourage you to visit the Evanston Women’s History Project at evanstonwomen.org where you will find a lot of information related to Evanston Women and the Fight for the Vote.
In an effort to promote our mission to collect, preserve, exhibit and share the rich history of Evanston we will be expanding our web presence in an effort to bring you as much history as we can virtually. Please visit our website evanstonhistorycenter.org.
Wishing you all good health!
The Staff and Board of the Evanston History Center
